Midterm Topic Choose ONE topic to write a paper on.  APA format: double spaced, 12 point, Time New Roman font, introduction, body conclusion.  Please email kmorales@uisd.net. The deadline 3/3/2020 for ALL Periods.  It may be emailed before the deadline.  Make sure you type your name in the subject line. Some useful online resources include Murderpedia, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, or the Uniform Crime Reporting from the FBI.

Topic #1 Choose a case that occurred before the 1990s.  How would that case be handled differently with today’s technology? Explain how fingerprint databases, for example, can change the course of an investigation.  

Topic #2  Between the years of 1974-1978 (perhaps even earlier), Ted Bundy killed an unconfirmed number of 30 women across seven states.  Discuss one issue that may have prevented investigators from catching Ted Bundy earlier (think about any forensic evidence that was found at crime scenes if there were crime scenes). 

Topic #3 In the weeks to come, we will be looking at the JFK.  What are your thoughts about the Assassination of JFK?  What forensic evidence have you heard or seen in a movie or youtube video? Try not to get lost in the world of conspiracy theories.  Look at the facts presented and discuss what you know and what you want to know more about this subject.
